Time to pick out a few good reads for this summer. I suppose it's a little late, but it just hasn't felt like summer that much yet! The temperatures have been so cool lately that it feels more like September than July. Anyway, I've settled on a handful of titles to start out with:
Drums Along the Mohawk by Walter D. Edmonds
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo
Also there's the Life and Letters of Margaret Junkin Preston, which you may have noticed in my list of "Books On Hand" in my sidebar lately. That's only sort of true - I found that one on Google Books, complete, which is somewhat unusual. Usually you only get excerpts. Anyway, I want to read it, but I haven't found the time to settle down to it yet. Reading a whole book off the computer is harder on the eyes and reading comprehension.
